Jeannie Ong is an experienced Investor Relations (IR) and Communications leader with 30 years of expertise in elevating corporate profiles, strategic stakeholder engagement, and leading investor communications for listed companies and startups across various industries.
Her extensive career includes senior roles where she developed and managed IR and Corporate Communications functions from the ground up. Her last corporate role was as the Group Chief IR Officer at MyRepublic Group, a fast-growing telco in the Asia Pacific. At MyRepublic, she handled IR, public relations, and stakeholder engagement, guiding the company’s communications strategy towards an IPO.
Additionally, she effectively navigated a crisis communication situation involving a data breach incident, demonstrating her proficiency in managing complex issues with stakeholders and regulators.
Previously, Jeannie held multiple senior executive positions at StarHub Group, a major Singaporean telco, where she excelled as Chief Strategic Partnership Officer and Chief Marketing Officer.
Her achievements in these roles include spearheading StarHub’s IPO, establishing a robust IR framework, and securing high rankings for sustainability efforts, contributing to StarHub’s recognition on the Global 100 list of most sustainable corporations. She has also been recognized for her IR acumen, receiving the Best IR Officer title in Singapore multiple times and being named among the Global Top 25 IROs.
Beyond her corporate roles, Jeannie serves as a Founding Board Member and IR Advisor for AetriaHealth in Thailand and is actively engaged with the Singapore Institute of Directors, coaching board members in stakeholder engagement and crisis communication.
She sat on the Board of Investor Relations Professionals Association Singapore (IRPAS) from 2012 to 2020 and currently sits on the Board of National Arthritis Foundation in Singapore as well as the editorial Board of IR Magazine. Jeannie has been the judge for IR Magazine SEA for many years. Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Economics from London and an Advanced Diploma in Healthcare Management and Digital Health from Singapore.
